This year for our 6th Anniversary August and I decided to get out of town and go to Conference in Salt Lake City. August or I had never been to Conference before and thought we'd ask for tickets and make a weekend vacation out of it. We had a blast. We flew in early Friday morning and got a rental and drove up to Park City for the day. It is beautiful there! The fall leaves are changing all colors and the weather was perfect. 70's all weekend-never had to put on my sweater! We walked up and down Main St., shopped a little, ate lunch and then met up with some of my cousins and sister and went to the ski resort where the Olympics were held. All the guys and gals rode the toboggan slide down the mountain. I had to sit out being that I'm 7 months pregnant... That night we met up with my sister and mom for dinner at Ruth's Diner up near "This is the Place." This restaurant is listed on top something around the US or something...I don't know. I just know it was famous and suppose to be really good. I thought it was just ok. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early for the first conference session. We were on the top balcony of the Conference Center which wasn't that bad. President Monson showed up about an hour late, which was kind of odd. It was cute that when he walked in, he walked straight up to the pulpit and said, "Hi!!!" Kind of like, "hey i'm here, I made it!" There was speculation that perhaps his wife was sick and had to go to the hospital, or perhaps he was getting revelation on what to talk about. We'll never know. He announced more Temples that are going to be built in the near future that included Columbia, South Africa, another Temple in Provo, UT, Wyoming and Paris, France! I love it!
After conference we walked Temple Square, ate pie at The Lion House, drove to This is the Place, and took pictures from the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Sunday we slept in and watched the first session of Conference, then flew home that afternoon. Reed stayed at my dad's all weekend with him and Jason. He actually stayed the night alone with just Jason. My dad went hunting one night and left them alone. They survived :)
Reed is 16 months today! That means only 2 more months til the next little guy is here! Reed loves the Disney Pixar movie Bolt right now. It's his absolute favorite! I thought he liked Megamind and would sit for maybe 20 min of that, but with Bolt he'll actually sit through the entire movie. When we came back from Utah, Reed was playing in my dad's irrigation and he loved it!!! These may not be in order, but here's pics of Utah and Reed playing (all taken from my phone, not the best quality sorry)...

I'm so glad you went! How funny about President Monson. I thought it was funny how he said, "Hi!" but from just watching it on TV we didn't know he walked in late!
