25 weeks this week!
Can you believe I am starting my 25th week tomorrow? Time is flying by so fast. I went to my doctor appointment on Friday and listened to Reed's heartbeat on the doppler. I wanted an ultrasound to confirm this guy was still a little boy (the last time it was hard to tell...remember?) but, that didn't happen. I know in my heart it's a boy but I just wanted to make sure ya know. Anyways, so I brought in my back x-rays to show the doc and he confirmed a definite C-section for my little guy. My tailbone is too curved in and my back is so twisted, it would just be impossible for the baby to come out safely. So he plans around June 8th or so now. That's exciting- a week earlier. :) The only problem right now is the epideral/spinal tap. He is really worried the anesthesiologist will not touch my back. He knows for a fact they can't go in where they normally put the needle in the center of the back. Because of my Spina Bifida, my bones have been fused there and there is no access for the needle. So, that means they would have to aim low. I have arthritis low as well...man what to do... So I should be getting a consult with whoever will be my anesthesiologist once it's closer to delivery and they will either say yay or nay. If it's a no, then put to sleep I go... :( Not looking forward to going to sleep. I wanna be able to experience the first cry and just the whole idea of having the baby. But, safety first. We gotta do what is best. I am just so grateful I am blessed to even be able to have a baby and that my body can handle being pregnant. So far everything has been fine with this pregnancy. Can't complain about anything but my back. It kills most days, but I'm tough.

Cute, cute baby bump! So, are you going to start saying you're 26 weeks since you got moved up?? That's a day before my due date!
I hope you don't have to get put to sleep either, but man reading this post makes me so grateful for the advancements in medicine that we do have!
Ya- Jen I should say that- lol. That's exactly what my doc said- he is glad they have new advancements in medicine and that they have the option of just knocking you out when it comes down to it. I've just been put to sleep too many times to count and I don't like it
