It's been way too long...time to catch up!

Really?  I really haven't posted in over two months?  Man, sorry!  I have just been so busy this summer traveling back and forth from here to Az every three or four weeks that I don't ever have the time to just sit, relax and BLOG!  I'll start off by telling a little about my boys lately.  Ridge is now 7 1/2 months and Reed is 25 1/2 months- typical terrible two!  Rewind back to RIDGE at 5 months- he stis up on his own, crawls everywhere, walks backward and sometimes forward in the walker.  He loves to play with red dolo cups and chews on all toys or books.  He drinks 4 bottles a day 8 oz at a time.  No cereal yet- tried it but he just doesn't get the hang of swallowing yet.  He's a little wire- none stop moving.  He loves to laugh and smile.  He is really ticklish (especially on his feet and back)!  He is a smart one and knows what he wants-very determined.  He's a stomach sleeper.
Ok, now fast forward to know- pretty much the same baby, but is now pulling himself up on everything and cruises the furniture.  Still crawls everywhere, fast!  He drinks 4 bottles a day still, but it's cut down to about 6 oz.  He eats baby food 3 times a day (since 6 months) and loves it!  Sometimes he'll eat four. Breakfast, lunch and dinner baby food.  He is definitely my sensitive boy.  He's really picky when it omes to playing with Reed.  Every now and then, they'll get each other laughing and playing-it's the cutest thing.  They mostly get along at bath time.  But if they are playing trains, watch out!  If Reed comes near him and slightly pushes him down (which happens alot) then Ridge will scream and cry histarical like it's the end of the world.  I have to come pick him up and comfort him, and then he's fine.
Ridge is still my smiley baby and ALWAYS has his mouth wide open.  Haha- I don't know why-but we call him the "Wide Mouth Frog."
Now onto REED.  He is one funny character.  I love this kid.  I love both my boys.
Reed is such a talker now.  Most the time you can understand what he's talking about, other times he just jabbers and rolls his tongue to blurt something out.  Things he says alot lately are...

-When he sees any type of steeple, he yells, "Temple! Church-Temple!"
-There is a Nicki Manage song that comes on and Reed will dance and yell, "Ow!" with the music.
-One time in the bath, he had his feet up on Ridge's back and he looked up at me and said, "Mom, I'm tired.  I going to sleep. " Then he closed his eyes, knelt his head and made snoring noises.  It was hilarious!
-Dad is "daddy", I'm "mama".
-He loves to have daddy or I read him a book before bed.  His favorites are from Dr. Seuss- One Fish Two Fish or Go Dog Go!
-Instead of saying "excuse me" to get by, he says, "Watch out!" (my fault, I say that alot to him...)
-This kid is so smart-  He knows his directions home when we're about a mile away.  He does this to my parents house as well.  He's very observant in the car.  He's constantly stretching his neck to look out the front window and just watches everywhere we go.  Then he points and says, "This way."  He usually right 99% of the time!
-He always bites his straws flat and complains that the juice isn't coming out...bugs me that he does this.
-He likes to say hi to everyone he passes.
-He loves trains as you all know and always is asking anyone to draw him a train.  Whether we be at the park with sidewalk chalk, or at the restaurant with the crayons at the table- "Draw train!"
-When he wants to brush his teeth he says, "Thomas teeth".  I think it's because he has Thomas toothpaste and a Thomas toothbrush.
-He calls his poop yuckies, turtles or lizards.  Weird kid.  Haha
-I hear this phrase all day long, "NO Ridgey!"
-I think it's hilarious when he watches the old fashioned Thomas the Train shows, and the trains make a disgusted face and they look really ugly, Reed always says, "Ewwwww!"  hahaha
-He can count 1-20 but doesn't know his colors yet.
-Every now and then I'll catch him singing with songs on the tv or his movies.
-In nursery his favorite time is play-doh time.
-His favorite primary songs right now are Popcorn Popping and Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam.
-He knows two shapes- circle and triangle.  He always has to show me the triangle with his fingers.
-We potty trained for a month at 23 months (just before he turned 2) and he did ok with it.  He would be really good and not have any accidents when we went out in public.  I would take him to go potty every hour or so and he would go just fine.  But when we were home, he would have like 3 accidents a day!  He was just too lazy or busy to stop playing to go to the potty.  And he would never tell me until after the fact that he already messed in his pants.  Ugh! So i gave up.  He's back in diapers until I feel he's ready.  Maybe I'll train him closer to three years old.

Ok- so more on REED.  The week of June 18, Reed kept getting fevers on and off and would break out into hives at the same time.  So weird-just a virus I guess.  He had a cold the week before when we were in Italy as well.  So then, a couple weeks later (on the 4th of July) He got fevers again and broke out with another rash.  Only this time, it didn't look like hives.  It was little red dots all over his hands and feet.  I did notice he didn't have much of an appetite that week.  I took him into the doctor the week after and Dr. Jones determined he had had Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease.  It was just a virus and had to run it's course.  Reed had been coughing alot too-had a minor ear infection, so the doctor gave him antibiotics.  So far Reed has been better.  A week and a half ago though, we went to Alpine and he fell and hit his head on the stone steps.  He got a big goose-egg on his forehead.  Then right after that, either a mesquito or bug bit him on the goose-egg and it got really swollen and red.  It's been that way for a week and a half now and has not gone away so we are going to see the doctor here in Poway today.  Let's hope it's nothing serious.  Reed always seems to get sick.

Reed has started the terrible twos now and has fits like no other.  He'll throw things, WHINE alot!, and says, "No!"  I'm having a rough time with him lately getting him to nap and go to bed.  I don't know what to do with him.  He doesn't get the hint of a "time out".  These boys are definitely trying my patience lately, but I just have to take a time out myself and breathe.  I say a prayer to help me get through the moment and try to have a positive attitude.  I love my boys and want to be the best mom I can.

Now that's all for now, and I'll try to get to editing my pictures soon to post of all the events that have happened the past couple months!  Everything went on from Reed's birthday party, Price is Right, to Alpine.
