Sunsplash Baby!

I so wish I had a camera last night!  We got invited by Jon and Lara to go to Golfland Sunsplash.  I haven't been in almost ten years, especially at night, and let me tell you it was so fun!  I'd never think to take a 14 month old, but Reed absolutely LOVED IT!!!  If you've ever been there, the first place we stopped at was the pool area with the lillie pads and slides for the kids.  There was this 20ft slide that we let Reed go down.  The lifeguards wouldn't let us go down with him, So Jon would take Reed up to the top and let him go, and August would catch him at the bottom before he went under water.  He was all smiles the entire way down!  He kept wanting to go back up and down all night long.  We decided to try something else, and walking around on the other side of that jungle gym was the "baby" slides (which were much shorter).  Whoops, ha we didn't even see those.  But Reed didn't care-he loved the "BIG ONE".  Kendra on the other hand (Lara's little girl that's three days older than Reed) hated it!  She was so scared and cried the whole way down.  Ryder had fun.  We took Reed in the lazy river and the wave pool.  August wanted to take him on the big main slides with the tubes, but I didn't really feel comfortable with that, so I didn't let Reed go.  Maybe when he's older and actually knows how to swim.  Not when he's only one and thinks he can swim :)  All in all swimming...at night...with a one year old...equals...awesome!
