One last hoorah- a 79 Christmas Tree Bonfire...put on by Rainer and Jason. It was awesome! So big! The cops came of course, and tried blocking us in. They were asking us, "Who is sponsoring this? Why are there so many people here?" My uncle Tim said no one was sponsoring it. Magnus yelled, "RedBull!" Haha...I bet about 200 people showed up (mostly Singles Ward I'm sure) to watch the big fire. As I was trying to pull out of the neighborhood, the firetruck was coming in...And since the kids all parked lining both sides of Evans Way, there was only room for one car to come in or out. I tried backing up, but my aunt Carrie was right behind me. The firetruck sat right in front of me blaring his horn a million times. The cops were yelling at both Carrie and I to back up, we yelled back that we were trying! The whole time the stupid firetruck kept honking...HONK HONK!!!!! Haha, I finally got backed up and by then, the fire was almost completely out. The cops made the fire dept spray it out anyway. I didn't stay to get a picture of them spraying- wish I had, but I had Reed and it was already 11:30 pm and I had to get up early for 8:00 church. Plus, I didn't want to get blocked in again by the cops. All in all, it was good clean fun and a way to end the Evans Way party life! By the way...Rainer got the ticket (for having the fire dept have to come and put it out). Stupid-he even asked earlier them earlier that day and got permission to do the fire. The old cop was just a jerk.
