Past Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend august and I went up to Hart Canyon on the Rim with my family and the McBrides. We had fun trail riding on the Rhino as usual and also just relaxing in the toy haulerplaying "RIPPLE NIPPLE". (As we like to call it). Jessica and Sam took us way back in the forest to find 4 abandoned run down old cabins that I believe use to be owned by Sam's great uncle or something like that. Jessica, help me if I get this wrong. Anyways, it was neat to walk inside and look at all the antique stuff that had been left behind. Fran wanted so badly to take an old wooden rocking chair or the tile on the roofs. She is one funny lady. She said it would match her decor at home. This was a three seater outhouse that we found.

Can you find August?
These were really high rocks the kids liked to play on next to our camp. I was a little scared to climb up them.

Aw, the newly weds...
August told my dad he looked like Smokey the Bear with that hat on so we had to take a picture by him to prove it. Love the signs Jessica made. She forgot to include the names Goebel, Brandon and Curtis now too! Ha
The men on the rim- no way did I get close to the edge...
We loved pushing the button to move up the beds and squish August. Rustin came real close to almost hurting August and he got scared! We had a wonderful weekend.

Halloween is coming soon and Lara was quick to remind me and ask if I was throwing my annual Halloween Party? Well, should I? I will more likely be gone the weekend of Halloween due to a family trip with August's parents and siblings to Disneyland. But if everyone wants I can plan a party the weekend before Halloween and it will be a costume party for sure- MANDATORY! Ha. Let me know everyone if that sounds like a plan. :)

Don't worry about the party dude. We can always do it next year...only if you want since you guys host it.

First of all I want that old wood so bad! Let me know if they are ever going to knock down those old cabins and I will buy the wood off of them. I want to make an old wood floor in Catcher's room.

As far as having a party goes I would be all for it, except I probably would not be able to go due to having a brand new baby. I hate that I always miss your parties!

I was laughing so hard about the squishing of August in the trailer bed. Those cabins did look way cool "perfect photo opportunity" . We have said for the last 3 years now that we would have a halloween party but we never do it, so if you do one I will gladly help with it!
