In case you all didn't know, August is learning how to fly. He has been taking lessons for several months now at Falcon Field in Mesa. His dad flys and has his own 6 seater plane. Cessna something...I don't know exactly. Anyways, I've been up flying with Aug and his dad. It's fun. As soon as he gets his license we are going to fly up to his parents cabin in Pinetop. He hopefully gets his license by Dec. 8th! It's coming up soon :) These are some pics of August's First SOLO flight-yikes all by himself in there! This was about a month or two ago i think. It's tradition to have the instructor cut your shirt when you complete your first solo.

that is awesome! My dad flew and so did my older brother bobby and my grandpa and his dad too. Man maybe I should make Reuben take flying lessons just to keep the tradition going.
Way to go August! I don't know that I'll ever want to ride in those little planes regardless of the pilot.
They aren't that bad and he is very precautious. I know Reuben should! Then they could be flying buddies. Ya August's dad and grandpa and cousins all flew too.
